How to Use:

  • Seed Sowing

Use on its own or mix 50:50 with seed compost. Sow seeds according to the seed packet instructions and cover with a thin layer of vermiculite. Water gently and keep evenly moist.

Best for: Seed trays, plug plants and covering newly sown seeds.


  • Pricking Out & Propagation

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into seed & cutting compost mixed with 25–30% vermiculite by volume.

Best for: Seedlings, cuttings and young plants.


  • Potting Mixes

Mix 25–30% vermiculite with multipurpose compost to help retain moisture and nutrients while creating a light, easy-to-manage growing medium.

Best for: Houseplants, vegetables, herbs, flowering plants, containers and hanging baskets.


  • Soil Improvement

Mix into garden soil or planting holes where improved moisture retention is beneficial, particularly in light or fast-draining soils.

Best for: Trees, shrubs, raised beds and outdoor planting.


Suitable for peat-free and traditional composts.
